This week’s episode features an up and coming photographer from my hometown, Katy Sarnowsky. This was kind of an on the whim podcast episode in that I asked Katy the day before she came to visit me if I could record our conversation. The purpose being that I get several messages from artists or just new businesswomen wanting to pick my brain, so this is a chance for anyone to be a fly on the wall and get a coaching session from me. Creating something out of nothing is hard and there is no roadmap to success in the arts, but in this conversation I try to help coach Katy while she’s in the very beginning of her business. I think this episode is relatable to anyone who is just starting out in business, specifically in the arts, and just don’t know what steps to take next. Katy and I have known each other for over 20 years and we also talked for over 3 hours in this one sitting but I had my editor edit it down into what they think would be the most informative and inspirational talking points. I give Katy some ideas for her business towards the end of this episode and even though most listening are not photographers, I really think you can use this type of idea and implement it into your own business. Let me know what you think about this week’s episode with Katy Sarnowsky.
