This week’s episode features sculptor, potter, and painter William Jeffrey Jones. I could listen to William talk about his stories as a sculptor all day. Did you know that he used to sculpt the figurines of famous people like Shaq, Magic Johnson, Buffy the vampire slayer, the list goes on When you purchase these figurines at any Walmart, if you look on the very bottom of the box you’ll see William Jeffrey Jones on the label. How cool is that?! He is full of tips on how to be a working artist from his many years of experience, like this one: Have you ever put a mirror up to your art to see it in reverse? Have you ever taken a photo and flipped the image so you’re seeing it with a completely new perspective? No, you should try it! It’s a whole new way to look at your art to know if things are exactly as they should be or a little off.
